Mary grew up in Lemoore. She was number five of thirteen children. She is survived by her sisters, Theresa Lawson of Dos Palos, Evie Brown of Hanford, and Marge Silva of Lemoore.

Mary moved to Watsonville in 1954, where she made a home with Joseph Edward Telles, who preceded her in death in 2004. Their three children survive her: Jeanette (Mike) Varni of Aptos, David (Linda) Telles of Scottsdale, Arizona, and Cynthia (Ron) Borba of Aromas.

Mary was loved by nine grandchildren: Kelly (Carl) Mennie, Lindsay (Tom) Parry, David (Sasha) Varni, Craig Borba, Jarod Borba, Julianne (Christian) Jones, Alyssa Borba, and Joseph Telles. She was also loved by her nine great-grandchildren: Hayden, Rylee, and Collin Mennie, Grace, Gwen, and Jane Parry and Mila, Cruz, and Romi Varni

Everyone who knew Mary loved her, and everyone she knew she loved more. 

A mass will be held for Mary on Wednesday, December 28th at 11:00 AM at Our Lady Help of Christians (Valley Catholic Church), 2401 E Lake Ave, Watsonville, CA 95076.

A reception will be held immediately following at the Rod and Gun Club, 557 Lakeview Rd., Watsonville. A private burial will be held beforehand.
