Lemoore’s varsity boys’ soccer team finished its regular season on a high note, defeating the visiting Hanford Bullpups 2-1 in Tiger Stadium. The Tigers find themselves opening the Central Section playoffs by hosting Lompoc.

The Tigers finished the season with a 10-11 overall season record and were 5-5 in the West Yosemite League. Lemoore will compete in the Division 4 brackets and will host the Lompoc Braves in Lemoore on Tuesday, Feb. 14 at 6 p.m. in the first round of the playoffs.

Lemoore will have the No. 3 ranking. If the Tigers win, they will face the winner of the No. 6 Parlier and No. 11 Santa Ynez game in a home contest.

The Lady Tigers will play No. 2 Independence in the Division 2 playoffs at No. 2 Independence High school on Wednesday, Feb. 15 at 6 p.m. The Lady Tigers finished at an impressive 7-3 in the WYL and were 14-6-2 overall. They finished the WYL season with an impressive 2-1 win over Hanford.
