The Crusaders showcased a formidable defense, holding opposing teams to an average score of 29 points per game. Their defensive pressure and discipline were key factors in securing well-deserved victories in all three games.
In tournament action, the Crusaders opened with a 72-46 win over Riverdale, followed by a Nov. 16 v65-24 victory over Laton High, and concluded with a 47-19 win over Avenal.
Senior Ronnie Roche was named the tournament’s MVP. He was impressive, averaging 26.3 points and 3.3 steals per game. He leads the CIF Central Section in scoring and is 13th in the nation. "Ronnie continues to show everyone why he is one of the top players in the valley. We look for him to score the ball for us and to set the tone every night. I am proud of how he handles himself on and off the court," said Crusaders head coach Kevin Dalafu.
Junior standout Elyas Miro, earned a spot on the All-Tournament Team. Miro contributed a well-rounded performance with averages of 13.3 points and 7.3 rebounds per game.
