The Posse also rode in the 2012 & the 2003 Pasadena Tournament of Roses Parades, with Sheriff Robinson alongside in the 2012 parade.
The Sheriff’s Department said the Posse members devote their time and effort to support the Kings County Sheriff’s Office. The Sheriff calls upon the Posse to perform search and rescue. Annually, the Posse donates funds to support Kings County Sheriff’s Office programs like the Explorer post, K-9 unit, and Mounted Enforcement Unit. Amazingly, over the past 13 years, the Sheriff’s Posse has donated approximately $200,000 to the Sheriff’s Office.
The Posse has been awarded numerous first-place honors for their riding excellence throughout California and has acted as Honor Guard for the President of the United States.
Posse members are responsible for their own Palomino horse, and black silver-mounted saddle and volunteer their time to represent the County of Kings in statewide parades.
