Coach Cameron Brooks said his team is playing well of late and definitely has a shot at another league crown if they play well the next three weeks. “We certainly have a shot at the league title,” he said.
Against Northwest Christian, the Crusaders were running on all cylinders from the very outset as Derek Hills took the opening kickoff and returned in 72 yards for the game’s first touchdown. From there it was all downhill for Northwest.
Kings Christian outscored Northwest 34-0 in the first half and allowed just six points in the third period.
Joshua Robinson was 6-12 for a170 yards from is quarterback spot, connecting on three touchdowns. One of those went to Mason Munoz, who also scored two rushing TDs to go along with his 51 yards rushing. His touchdowns came on runs of four and 33 yards in the second quarter. He also caught three passes for 79 yards.
Eric Savage, the Crusader’s No. 2 quarterback also had a good night, tossed two touchdown passes.
