It was Homecoming week at Lemoore High School and on Friday the annual football game was preceded by a very special Homecoming Parade down Lemoore’s main thoroughfare as hundreds of well-wishers and shoppers watched as Lemoore clubs, the marching band, the Naval Junior ROTC unit, and others came marching by.

During halftime of the Tigers game against Mt. Whitney, a full stadium saw a new Homecoming Queen crowned in the form of Roxana Rodriguez and joining her was Homecoming King Steven Osuna.

The theme of this year’s Homecoming was “Superheros,” and that was definitely on display as club after club previewed colorful floats honoring everyone from Superman to Spiderman and the Avengers.

The winning float, however, went to the Jesus Club with its colorful float and impressive them of Jesus being the ultimate Superhero.

Other floats in the parade included the Future Farmers of America, the Volleyball team, Lemoore High School football players, the Leaf Club, Drama, Spanish, Choir and others.
