Patriotic Concert goers were treated to impressive displays of marching from crack NJROTC units, rousing renditions off patriotic band classics like “You’re Grand Old Flag,” as well as a stirring rendition of “God of our Fathers.”
The choir put on an impressive show as well singing “Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy” and “I’ll Be Seeing You,” as well as the familiar “Tie a Yellow Ribbon Round the Old Oak Tree.”
Guests of honor were Navy Capt. Gregory Keithley, Commander of the Navy’s Strike Fighter Wing, U.S. Pacific Fleet and Capt. Cynthia Gantt, commanding officer of the Naval Air Station Hospital.
The show ended with a beautiful version of “America the Beautiful” and “Taps,” played by band director Shawn McElhaney.
