Lemoore’s varsity boys’ tennis team got the best of Hanford West Monday afternoon as the boys started the second half of the season with a 5-3 win. The junior varsity team also won, beating the Huskies 5-0.

In the singles competition Michael Sinaga beat Hanford’s Eduardo Magallan 4-6, 6-3, 10-6 in a close match. Ethan Ashby won in three sets over Joseph Gozun for a victory while Chance Stinger beat Felipe Donez 6-7 (9-11), 6-2, 13-11.

Lemoore’s is now 2-5 on the season.

In varsity doubles Lucas Brown and Sinaga teamed for an 8-5 win while Jalen Coleman and Kenzo James won 9-7 to take the team doubles.

In JV action Connor Riley won 8-5 while Tony Temores won 8-0. The doubles teams also won all their matches as Evan Royer and Renzo Dampitan won as did Adrian Zamora and Drew Gobby. Finally Bryan Tovar-Santos and Spencer Griffin won 8-4.
