Once an autopsy is completed, investigators anticipate adding homicide charges.
On Friday, April 25 at about 3 p.m., fire and ambulance services responded to a 911 call regarding an unresponsive two-year-old female juvenile. The child was reported to have fallen and was injured. Due to the type and extent of the injuries, sheriff's investigators responded to the scene and began an investigation.
Detectives arrested and booked the legal guardian of the victim, Ramirez Najar, on suspicion of child abuse and causing serious injuries or brain damage.
