Lemoore High’s top tennis players, Lucas Brown and Michael Sinaga, on Monday easily defeated Hanford West’s Eduardo Magallan and Felipe Donez, 6-4, 6-4 to win the Western Yosemite League doubles title at Redwood High in Visalia.

The talented duo, who were top-seeded going into the WYL tournament, survived their first match against Andre Burgos and Biley Torres of Golden West 9-8 and 7-3 in the tiebreaker, then beat Mark Garcia and James Choi of Redwood in the semi-finals 8-4 to earn a trip to the finals.

West’s Magallan and Donez beat the second seed team Ben Price and Matt Duyst of Golden West in the semi-finals 8-0.

The semi-finalists and winners of the quarter-finals play off move on to the area tournament on May 9.

 Evan Moritse of Redwood won the singles title against Juan Carlos Silva of Golden West 6-0, 6-1.
