The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) in cooperation with Granite Construction Inc. announced scheduled lane closures next week as construction continues on the State Route 198 and 19th Avenue Interchange Project in Lemoore within Kings County.

Lane closures next week will be as follows:

Eastbound and Westbound State Route 198 between State Route 41 and Avenue 18 ½ (Vine Street) will be switched to the Eastbound lanes of 198 with one lane of travel in each direction on Monday, August 25th and Tuesday, August 26th, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. each night.

Eastbound and Westbound State Route 198 between State Route 41 and Avenue 18 ½ (Vine Street) will be switched to the Westbound lanes of 198 with one lane of travel in each direction on Wednesday, August 27th and Thursday, August 28th, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. each night.

These closures will allow construction crews to remove bridge falsework over the existing Westbound and Eastbound lanes, respectively.

Eastbound and Westbound State Route 198 in this area will be reduced to one lane in each direction 24 hours per day beginning at 6:00 a.m. Monday morning, August 25th thru 5:00 a.m. on Friday morning, August 29th, 2014.
