Lemoore improved to 3-2 in the West Yosemite League standings and is 14-9 overall. While Taylor was the proud mom of a homecoming queen, it was another Tiger who provided much of the heroics in Thursday’s 100th victory.
Senior Faith Wyatt, a stalwart on the front line, had 12 kills and three blocks to lead the Tigers to the win over the Trailblazers.
“Golden West has a very scrappy team,” said Taylor. “They don’t ever give up.”
She is also proud of her 100th win. “It has been a great five years,” she said. “I have had the privilege of coaching some amazing young ladies. I am very proud of the program that we have built here, and I couldn’t have done it without (assistant coach) Megan Rix. She is not only an amazing coach but a wonderful person. Megan and I have worked very hard to develop these young ladies into responsible and successful adults.”
The Tigers have a Tuesday matchup with Hanford and then take on Hanford West Thursday night, again in Hanford.
