The Lemoore Police Department is seeking information on a suspected car thief who ended up taking a shot at some who pursued him. On Sunday, November 2, at approximately 2:45 a.m. Lemoore police officers responded to a residence on Elderwood Lane for a vehicle burglary that was in progress.

The man who reported the possible theft and his girlfriend were sitting in their car when they saw a Hispanic male walk past their vehicle. The couple then watched the subject walk up to a neighbor's vehicle and look inside the vehicle. The couple got out of their car and were walking in the driveway towards the girlfriend’s house when they noticed an African American male inside her mother’s vehicle, which was parked in the driveway. The male asked the suspect if he could help him and the suspect got out of the car. This suspect and the Hispanic male started walking westbound on Elderwood Lane.

The couple started to follow the suspects as they walked westbound on Elderwood Lane and then southbound on Belinda Drive. The two suspects then started to run away. The male started to chase the suspects while the female called the Lemoore Police Department.

The suspects ran southbound on Belinda Drive and then eastbound on E. Meadow Lane. The African American suspect then turned and fired one gunshot at the reporting party. The reporting party stopped chasing the suspects and last saw them running southbound into Palm Court. Lemoore officers searched the neighborhoods but were unable to locate the suspects.

The two suspects are described as follows: Hispanic male, approximately 25 years old, wearing a red baseball cap, black jacket and dark colored pants; African American male, approximately 25 years old, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and dark colored pants.
