Hanford residency graduate Dr. Jasper Basit is practicing family medicine at Adventist Health / Community Care clinics in Hanford and Corcoran.
Dr. Basit was born in Toronto, Canada. He received his medical training from Loma Linda University School of Medicine. While in medical school, Dr. Basit traveled to Honduras to provide care to the people. He also participated in mission trips to Mexico and the Philippines.
“I wanted to become a doctor for ministry purposes,” says Dr. Basit. “I can serve God by serving others.”
In his free time, Dr. Basit enjoys traveling, listening to music, playing basketball and fishing.

The Hanford residency program, which trains 12 physicians in rural family medicine, is the first in the Central Valley to be affiliated with the prestigious Loma Linda University Medical Center.
