The weather was perfect, the mood tense, and the eggs were ripe for the picking, and that’s just what hundreds of Lemoore-area youngsters did Saturday morning at the annual Lemoore Easter Egg Hunt. The annual event is sponsored by the South Valley Community Church, the Lemoore Lions, and the Lemoore Recreation Department.
The event was held at the Lions Park on Fox Street and began promptly at 9 a.m. with the tiniest of the egg searchers while the 6-7 year olds started at 9:30 a.m. The park was literally littered with tiny plastic eggs, all of them with a treat hidden inside. In just moments, the brightly-colored field was green again, when virtually every egg getting picked up.
