Adventist Health / Central Valley Network has been honored with the Silver California Awards for Performance Excellence (CAPE) Eureka Award.

The designation from the California Council for Excellence (CCE) highlights the nonprofit organization for what the CCE describes as outstanding commitment to sustainable excellence through innovation, continuous improvement and visionary leadership.

“We are truly honored to achieve this award,” says Wayne Ferch, network president and CEO. “CAPE Examiners visited our facilities in early November and witnessed first-hand the great work our employees are doing to improve healthcare.”

Adventist Health was among five recipients to be recognized with the CAPE Eureka Award, which models its process after that of the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award. Evaluated areas include leadership, strategic planning, customer focus, knowledge management, workforce, processes and results.

“I am honored to congratulate these organizations as CAPE Eureka Award recipients,” says CAPE Council Chair and CCE Board member, Alice Fan. “The Baldrige Framework is not just a criteria booklet; it is a way of thinking and culture that these five companies have successfully adopted and leverage to improve themselves as well as the workforce and customers they serve.”
