Family medicine physician joins Adventist Health Physicians Network

Dr. Julia Krechter, a board-certified family medicine physician, will join Adventist Health Physicians Network in Hanford and Adventist Health / Community Care in Riverdale on Jan. 1, 2017.

Dr. Krechter has more than 20 years of clinical experience and recently cared for patients in a hospital’s occupational health department in Kona, Hawaii.

Born and raised in Arkansas, Dr. Krechter became accustomed to agricultural living. Her family farmed cotton, soy bean and rice. She has family in the Central Valley, which is why she decided to move to the area.

Dr. Krechter has a bachelor of science degree in Zoology from University of Massachusetts at Amherst and a medical degree from University of Massachusetts Medical School. She completed a family medicine internship at Williamsport Hospital in Pennsylvania and residency training at Family Medicine Residency at Central Main Medical Center in Lewiston, Maine.

She and her husband of 20 years have four adult children. When Dr. Krechter is not caring for patients, she enjoys running, participating in mission trips, and playing the violin. In Hawaii, she was the board director and a member of the Orchestra of Kona. Dr. Krechter is fluent in English, German and Spanish.
