Cool centers available in Lemoore, county for those seeking escape from high temps

With high temperatures expected to continue into next week, Kings County lists “cool places” – local agencies and businesses in Kings County that will open to the public during regular business hours – so that residents may go to partially escape the weather.  Participating businesses in Kings County include the list below. Please contact the facility to determine hours of availability. There are at least two places in Lemoore offered as “cool places,” including the Lemoore Branch Library and the Lemoore Recreation Center.

Cool Centers are facilities administered by local government in response to a specific heat event. Activation of center and hours of operation are determined by specific heat events and may vary from jurisdiction to jurisdiction. Please contact in advance to determine availability.
