By The Leader Staff

Adventist Health is getting students ready for school with its Back-to-School Healthy Kids Round-up from 8 a.m. to noon on Tuesday, Aug. 1.

Families are invited to the Western-themed event, where six providers will perform physicals and immunizations, if necessary, at Medical Office - Hanford. Those who register will meet at the Chapel, 1025 N. Douty St. in Hanford, to sign in. Participants are asked to bring their insurance card, photo identification and child’s immunization records and Social Security card (if applicable).

The providers who will perform the physicals include Drs. Raul Ayala, Isam Dafdony, Michelle Keeper and Nizzi Sridham, as well as physician assistants David Oberstar and Martha Suarez.

Activities will include a Teddy Bear Workshop, Hula-hoop contest and more! Healthy treats also will be provided, including fruit cups, banana roll-ups, trail mix bars and raisins.

Guests will even have a chance to enter drawings for bicycles, cowboy/cowgirl hats, Teddy Bears and a pencil pouch with school supplies (must be present to win and show this article to enter drawings).

Children may register for the event by calling 1-888-443-2273.
