Family Nurse Practitioner: from Army to Lemoore Adventist Medical Office

Elizabeth Joyce was living in Hawaii, when she heard on the radio, the horrific news of the September 11th terrorist attacks in 2001. She was just starting her role as a Family Nurse Practitioner and felt driven to join the Army to help her country.

 “I thought, the soldiers are going to need providers,” says Joyce who’s been stationed in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Kuwait.

Joyce began caring for children and adults at Adventist Health Medical Office – Lemoore on Aug. 21, 2017.

She has an Associate in Nursing from Los Angeles Valley College in Van Nuys, a Bachelor in Nursing from the University of Washington in Seattle, Wash., and a Master in Nursing Leadership from Seattle Pacific in Seattle, Wash., where she also received her FNP certification. She’s certified through the American Nurses Credential Center.

The mother of six adult children enjoys spending time with her family, reading and traveling.
