Adventist Health stands out in women's health problems

Excellent care in women’s pelvic health and incontinence problems is helping Adventist Health stand out from the rest!

Adventist Health Hanford was named a 5-star recipient for Urogynecologic Care by Healthgrades, the leading online source for comprehensive information about physicians and hospitals. The 5-star rating indicates that the medical center’s clinic outcomes are statistically significantly better than expected when treating these conditions or performing urogynecologic procedures.

“We have a great urology team in Hanford from the office, to the hospital room, to the clinics,” says Dr. Jeffrey Csiszar, the board-certified urologist with Adventist Health. “We pride ourselves in expecting to have good outcomes.”

To help consumers evaluate and compare hospital performance, Healthgrades analyzed all-payer state data in 17 states between 2013 and 2015. Healthgrades found that there is a significant variation in hospital quality between those who have received 5-stars and those who have not. For example:

From 2013 through 2015, patients undergoing a urogynecologic procedure in hospitals with 5-stars have, on average an 89 percent lower risk of experiencing a complication while in the hospital, than if they were treated in hospitals with 1-star.*
