The Easter Bunny, assisted by a pair of local Lions Clubs and other organizations, made a couple of stops in Kings County Saturday morning, and upon his departure, left about 3,000 kids and their parents very pleased with the result.
The most significant turnout for a Saturday Easter Egg hunt was in Lemoore where the hard-working Bunny, the Lemoore Recreation Department, and the local South Valley Church brought huge smiles to an army of children. The youngsters and their parents converged on the Lemoore Sports Complex where Lemoore’s youth gathered for the annual East Egg Hunt.
Youngsters, three and under to twelve years old ended up consuming about 30,000 eggs stuffed by the Lemoore’s South Valley Church, and when it was over they munched on hot dogs prepared by the Lemoore Lions Club and picked up prizes.
Just down the road, the Kings Lions Club treated several hundred Stratford kids, and their parents, to its fourth annual egg hunt as nearly 6,000 eggs were scattered on the Stratford Elementary School’s playground.
Like their counterparts in Lemoore, a plethora of Lions’ members scattered eggs, handed out prizes, and fed the egg sleuths and their parents.
