New features coming to Tachi Palace Hotel & Casino in near future
A new outdoor Sprung structure is being built north of the Casino to house outdoor concerts and entertainment. The Sprung structure, which is the biggest one ever made, is over 300 feet long and 150 feet wide and will provide 45,000 square feet of shade and have three oversized exhaust fans for cooling. The structure is slated for completion at the end of June. The first concert to be held under the Sprung tent will be Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Ann Wilson of Heart on Thursday, July 12 at 7:30 p.m.
Guests are already taking advantage of the expanded outdoor entertainment area on the north lawn that, earlier this year, was cemented into a 4,000 square foot space. It is the site for the 35th Anniversary FREE Concert Series with the next shows set for July 8, August 5, September 30 and October 14.
Also, under construction is the new Tachi Palace Family Entertainment Center. The new facility will open in the fall and includes a 30-lane bowling alley and an eight-screen movie theater, plus an arcade with the latest games and a 10-table billiards room. New food and drink concessions will also be part of the concourse connecting the main casino and Entertainment Center.
“As we celebrate our 35th Anniversary, we are excited to continue to grow and offer even more activities and services at Tachi Palace,” said General Manager Willie Barrios. “These new amenities will make outdoor concerts cooler, parking easier, and offer new options for fun, family-friendly entertainment.”
Tachi Palace and Casino also has added 930 additional parking spots in the front of the casino for guest convenience.
