Arnel Pineda, lead singer of Journey, along with Geneva Cruz, will take the stage at Tachi Palace Hotel & Casino on Thursday, April 4, at 7:30 p.m. in the Bingo Hall. Tachi Palace offers the premier entertainment experience in the area.

Pineda is a singer and songwriter who came to prominence in his native Philippines during the 1980s, and internationally in 2007 as the new lead singer of the rock band Journey. The band’s first album with Pineda, Revelation, debuted at No. 5 on the Billboard Top 200 album charts and remained in the Top 20 for six weeks.  It was certified gold within days of its release and achieved platinum status in 2009.

As a solo performer, Pineda and his band cover songs by Aerosmith, Survivor, Led Zeppelin, Air Supply, The Eagles, Kenny Loggins and other classic rock favorites from the 1970s, ‘80s, and ‘90s.

Cruz is an award-winning Filipina singer and actress. She began her career as a member of the now-defunct multiplatinum music group Smokey Mountain, and in 1992 was the first and youngest grand-prize winner of The Voice of Asia singing contest in Almaty, Kazakhstan.

Her first solo album, I Like You, went double platinum, producing hit singles including the title track “Anak ng Pasig,” from the movie of the same title in which Geneva also appeared. Her second solo album, In the Name of Love, also went platinum.

Tickets to see Arnel Pineda and Geneva Cruz can be purchased at TachiPalace.com or the Hotel Gift Shop. Tickets start at $40 per person. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the show starts at 7:30 p.m.
