The Tachi Palace Hotel and Casino and Tachi tribal leaders were on hand Tuesday afternoon to open its newest eatery within the walls of the Casino of the Moon, located on the third floor of the main casino.

Tribal and casino executives held a traditional ribbon-cutting ceremony officially opening its newest restaurant, Pho-Nominal Eats, an Asian-inspired eatery that opened to the public on Wednesday, Aug. 28.

This new Asian-inspired concept offers traditional, high-quality ethnic food in a casual setting. The menu features treats from Asia including PHO noodle soups, teriyaki bowls, and Vietnamese rolls.

The new restaurant will be open daily from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.  Starting Wednesday, September 11. The hours are Sunday through Thursday from 12 noon to 11 p.m. and Friday and Saturday, noon to midnight.

Tachi Palace General Manager Michael Olujic brought members of the Tribal Council together for an official ribbon cutting and said there are plans for many new improvements. “This is the first of many,” he said. “This was a collaborative effort of the whole team.”

A sizeable crowd, which included a dozen or so members of the Tachi “Hoops” program, were also on hand to help celebrate the restaurant’s opening. The Tachi students often perform at community events and celebrate the Tachi culture.
