There were plenty of snacks, a lot of facemasks, a bunch of inquisitive kids, music, and of course demonstrations from the Lemoore Police Department and the city’s Volunteer Fire Department. It was all part of Lemoore’s annual National Night Out, an annual event postponed from its normal August date due in part to the COVID-19 Pandemic.
This year’s National Night Out, held Tuesday, August 27 in Lemoore’s Veterans’ Park had a very respectable turnout, despite the circumstances as perhaps 200 kids and adults enjoyed themselves in the late afternoon event.
Lemoore’s National Night Out has been a long-running event in Lemoore and is meant to enhance the relationships between the community’s residents and its local law enforcement officials. It also brings a renewed sense of community between the public and its law enforcement officers.
