Kings Lions Club, despite sizzling heat, welcomes nearly 1,400 to annual Brewfest

Approximately 1,400 persons braved uncomfortable high temperatures Saturday, but that didn’t stop them from enjoying the Kings Lions Club Annual Kings Brewfest held at the Kings Lions Complex from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.

  • Kings Lions members donated $2,500 to the Lemoore Recreation Department Saturday during its annually Kings Brewfest, back to Lemoore after a year's absence.
  • The Valley Cats returned to Lemoore and entertained a crowd of approximately 1,400 who attended the Brewfest Saturday night.
  • The Kings Lions Club also donated $2,500 to the Barbara Saville Women's Shelter.
  • Many folks felt like dancing to the Valley Cats Saturday night in the Kings Lions Park.
  • Waiting in line for brew or something to eat.
  • As usual there were plenty of things to do at the 2021 Kings Brewfest.

Last year’s Brewfest was canceled due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.

As usual, there were plenty of brews – many kinds – and food. The Valley Cats returned to the Lions Park to entertain the large crowd, many of whom brought along pop-up tents mean to thwart the sun's 110-degree waves. From the top of the berm on the west side of the park, it resembled a sea of colorful tents.

As per the custom, local Kings Lions members contributed to worthy causes, this year including the Barbara Saville Women’s Shelter and the Lemoore Recreation Department.
