Dr. Najla Ahmadzia has joined the Adventist Health Physicians Network and will be caring for patients at the Lacey Medical Plaza, 1524 W. Lacey Blvd., Suite 201A, in Hanford. She specializes in internal medicine, which involves the treatment of everything from diabetes to hypertension.

Dr. Ahmadzia grew up in the Bay Area. She’s a graduate of University of California at Santa Cruz and Ross University Medical School in Dominica. She completed her internship and residency training at Kaiser Santa Clara. She practiced at an urgent care in Bakersfield for two years before coming to Hanford.

Her father was a doctor, so she was introduced to the medical field at an early age. She chose to become an internist because of the bond it allows her to create with patients. “I want to develop a relationship with my patients and help them manage their medical conditions,” says Dr. Ahmadzia. “I want to treat them as a whole.”

Dr. Ahmadzia has two children with her husband, Sayed Basel, who is an OB-GYN in Hanford. The two enjoy taking road trips, exploring national parks and reading.

Dr. Ahmadzia may be reached at 559-583-4610.
