Evening Under the Stars rakes in dollars for Lemoore youth recreation

It was a near perfect night for Lemoore’s annual Evening Under the Stars, the major fundraiser for the Lemoore Youth Recreation Fund, established for the purpose of allowing any child in Lemoore the opportunity to participate in after school and weekend activities offered through the Lemoore Recreation Department. Each year, an average of 150 kids use this scholarship program, enjoying cheerleading, soccer, flag football, swimming, day camp, air rifle and much more.

Saturday night’s event had a pair of major sponsors including Keller Motors and Quad Knopf Engineering.

At least 200 persons enjoyed wine tasting, dancing to the music of the Marie Wilson Band, and good food supplied by local service clubs and local dining establishments.
