West Hills Coalinga graduates 37 from psychiatric program

West Hills College Coalinga’s Psychiatric Technician Program will award certificates to 37 students on Aug. 27 during a graduation and pinning ceremony.

The ceremony will take place in the WHCC theater and will begin at 5 p.m.

“Our students will walk away from this program with the skills and knowledge required to take a state board licensure test,” said program instructor Hector Dam-Mikkelsen. “Graduations are always eventful and recognizing our students for their accomplishments is very fulfilling for our staff.”

The ceremony will feature faculty speakers Rhonda Mayer and Jody Mitchell and student speakers David Miles and Renee Saelee. It will also include an address from the West Hills College Coalinga president, Dr. Carole Goldsmith.
