Tickets for annual West Hills College Rodeo Boosters annual dinner now on sale

West Hills College Coalinga Rodeo Boosters are now selling tickets for their annual dinner fundraiser. The dinner is Feb. 27 at Harris Ranch Inn & Restaurant. Social hour begins at 6 p.m. and dinner at 7 p.m. Tickets are $40, with all proceeds benefitting the WHCC rodeo team and scholarships for rodeo team members. Last year, Rodeo Boosters awarded over $30,000 in scholarships to rodeo students.

“This is important to help replenish the scholarship fund,” said Brooke Jackson, WHCC Rodeo assistant coach. “The boosters work so hard to be able to give scholarships out and this is a good way to rebuild the funds for next year. We cannot begin to thank our boosters enough for all their hard work and dedication to the West Hills rodeo program.”

Dinner will include a carving station with New York steak, grilled chicken breast, bacon roasted potatoes, vegetables, salad, and cheese rolls. Dessert is included. There will also be live and silent auctions, a Cowboy Calcutta auction and a variety of other activities.

A Calcutta rodeo will also be held on Sunday at 11 a.m. at the WHCC rodeo arena featuring only West Hills rodeo members. The public is welcome to attend.

Tickets for the fundraiser dinner may be available at the door, but purchasing them in advance is recommended. See any rodeo student, or call Justin Hampton at (559) 934-2702.
