After a long search, the City of Lemoore announced Friday morning (May 20) that city officials had selected Heather Corder as the new City of Lemoore’s new Chief Financial Officer. She will begin in her new role Monday, June 13. Lemoore didn’t have to go very far to attract Corder. She currently serves as the Finance Manager for the City of Hanford.

Selected through an open and competitive recruitment process, Corder brings over 10 years

of financial management to Lemoore, with five years of public service experience that will continue to improve financial management and transparency of the City’s finances.

Over her career she has held various roles with the City of Hanford, CalVans and at Harris Ranch.

“While the City transitions into a new era of municipal financial reporting and operations, Heather will be able to continue to implement best management practices and ensure the City continues to maintain a strong financial position,” said Lemoore City Manager Andi Welsh.

“The City is fortunate to recruit the best talent as we build a strong financial team to continue Lemoore’s forward progress,” stated Welsh.

“I am honored and excited to have been selected for the Finance Director position,” stated Corder.  “I look forward to working with Andi Welsh and the entire City of Lemoore team.”
