A pair of Lemoore Middle College High School students and four students from Lemoore High School earned Ruiz 4 Kids Scholarships, six of 24 students from the Riverdale, Hanford and Lemoore area to earn awards.

A total of 220 Central Valley students were recipients of the 2016 Ruiz 4 Kids Scholarships this year. “We are thrilled to assist in the continued education of local high school and college students,” said Blanca Santana, Community Relations Director for Ruiz 4 Kids.

The Lemoore Middle College students are Alonda Gonzalez and Adeline Rodriguez. Lemoore High School also had four students who earned scholarships, including Riley Jacobs, Amanda Potter, Kristina Raulino, and Yehuda Sinaga.

This is the 25th anniversary of Ruiz Foods supporting the educational needs of the Central Valley youth.

All scholarship funds are raised via the Louis F. Ruiz Golf Invitational and since 1985 Ruiz 4 Kids has awarded over $2 million in scholarships.

Ruiz 4 Kids is a non-profit organization founded in 1990 when employees of Ruiz Food Products, Inc. approached Founder Fred Ruiz asking him to help them explore ways to assist families with children in need. Today, Ruiz 4 Kids works to fund two children/education programs: scholarships to high school seniors and the Mini-Grants for Teachers program.
