Edward 'Eddie' Neal files to seek second term on City Council

The only other Lemoore resident to indicate that he or she was going to run is former candidate Holly Blair, who ran unsuccessfully for a council seat in 2014.

The nominating period for the November General Election opened July 18 and closes August 12. Seats up for grabs this year belong to Neal, two-term councilmember Billy Siegel and first-term councilmember Lois Wynne.

Prospective councilmembers must collect at least 30 nominating signatures in order to qualify for the November ballot.

Neal is a life-long resident of Lemoore and lists his occupation as a rancher. As a councilmember he also belongs to a number local and county organizations including Kings Community Action, and the South San Joaquin Division of the League of California Cities where he also serves as a Community Services Policy Committee member of the League.

He told The Leader he will continue to work for programs to improve Lemoore. “I’ll continue working for more youth and senior programs, stronger military relations, community policing projects, improved planning and zoning processes, assisting the Lemoore Volunteer Fire Department, improving the infrastructure of Lemoore and preserving our family-friendly values.”
