Young Chamber entrepreneurs get a first-hand look at operation of a local dairy

The students got to take part in a mock milking competition and got to sample some of their delicious work. The YEA! Lemoore class currently has seven students enrolled, who will continue in the program to write a business plan, present to a panel of investors, receive real funding (hopefully), and launch a legal business or social movement.
The Young Entrepreneurs Academy is a year-long program that teaches middle and high school students how to start and run their own businesses. The program was developed at the University of Rochester in 2004 with the support of a grant from the Kauffman Foundation.
The Lemoore Chamber of Commerce is excited to be introducing YEA! to the Lemoore Community and started it last year. This the second year for YEA!
