Many important issues for new councilmembers to tackle after election

It was indeed an interesting election night. Voters across the country went with something new and controversial while the electorate in Lemoore went with experience, honesty, and a hard work ethic when they re-elected incumbent Eddie Neal and then gave nods to Holly Blair and Dave Brown.

The two new members will join incumbents Neal, Ray Madrigal and Jeff Chedester on what appears to be a solid block of committed public servants, all of whom ran for city council because they wanted to serve the community.

There are many important issues facing the citizens of Lemoore: water, economic development, planning, waste water, and much more.

We feel confident that Lemoore’s citizens have selected the right people to tackle these issues in a fair, balanced way, and that’s all that the citizens of Lemoore can expect.
