New West Hills College Lemoore Student Union unveiling January 17, 9 a.m.
The Golden Eagle Student Union, which is the first building built on the WHCL campus since the opening of the Golden Eagle Arena in 2011, is scheduled for a grand opening on Jan. 17 at 9 a.m. Tours will be offered from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
The public is invited to attend the grand opening event, for a tour of the building and light refreshments.
“West Hills College Lemoore promotes student engagement both inside and outside the classroom and this student union will provide additional opportunities for students to become active members of the campus community,” said Dr. Kristin Clark, President of WHCL. “It will be a great place for students to grab a bite to eat, access services, meet new friends, and relax in between classes. It is very exciting to see this project, that will benefit all our students, come to fruition.”
The new building was completed in December 2016 and will be home to the Associated Student Body, financial aid and advising services, a bookstore, cafeteria, and a Golden Eagle Help Desk, where students will have access to admission, records and registration services.
