West Hills College Foundation Director earns school's 'Spirit of the Eagle' award

The award, which recognizes service and dedication to WHCL, was presented to Squire on the eve of her retirement from the WHCCD after 16 years. Squire will retire in June.
“Frances has significantly contributed to the growth and development of West Hills College Lemoore by giving her time and resources,” said Dr. Kristin Clark, President of West Hills College Lemoore. “During her tenure, the foundation’s assets have grown to over $2.5 million and her tireless efforts to secure resources has enabled us to offer almost $500,000 in scholarships to our students each year, which includes our President’s Scholars. After her retirement, she will be truly missed.”
Squire joined the WHCCD in 2001 as the Director of Marketing before transitioning to her current role as Foundation Director in 2010.
She is particularly proud of the growth of the President’s Scholars Program—which offers free tuition and $250 a semester to top students—during her time as director.
Prior to coming to West Hills College, Squire handled media relations at Pacific Gas and Electric Company. Squire is a Valley native, originally from Corcoran. She was a business owner in Corcoran and served as Chamber of Commerce President there.
