West Hills Lemoore sponsors Holiday Food Drive Dec. 13 on campus
As the holiday season is a time for giving and sharing, WHCL is committed to supporting those in need. The Holiday Food Drive will feature a contactless drive-thru system to ensure the safety and convenience of participants.
“During our December Food Drive, West Hills College Lemoore will offer a variety of essential food items to help families celebrate the season with a hearty meal, including a holiday Ham and sides,” said Amber Avita, WHCL Coordinator of Student Support Services and Engagement. “We understand the challenges many face during this time, and our goal is to alleviate some of the burdens associated with holiday expenses.”
The Holiday Food Drive is made possible through collaboration with community partners, including KCAO, CAlViva, Central California Food Bank, and Best Buy Markets/SaveCo. These partnerships exemplify the shared commitment to supporting the local community and spreading holiday cheer.
Participants are encouraged to arrive early, as distribution will be on a first-come, first-served basis. No appointments are necessary; however, attendees must be present to receive food items.
“West Hills College Lemoore continues to demonstrate its dedication to community service, and the Holiday Food Drive is another opportunity for the college to give back to the community it serves,” said Avita. “We invite everyone to join us on December 13 at 8:45 a.m. in the spirit of unity, generosity, and holiday cheer.”
