Strong winds blew through Lemoore today (Monday, April 16) bringing with them torrential rain - about 20 minutes worth at approximately 2 p.m. The winds soon died down but did manage to leave minor damage in its wake.
The winds brought down a branch or several branches from a downtown tree. The tree located near the center of the downtown block in front of Pereira's Jewelers and across the street from the Bank of America. A Lemoore Public Works crew quickly cleared the road, using a mechanical chipper. There didn't appear to be any significant damage, though the tree did fall near a vehicle parked on the street.
