Strong winds bring brief rainstorm to Lemoore, damage downtown tree
Lemoore city workers worked quickly Monday afternoon (April 16) to clear downtown D Street of a fallen tree. A significant part of a tree broke off during the storm.
The winds brought down a branch or several branches from a downtown tree. The tree located near the center of the downtown block in front of Pereira's Jewelers and across the street from the Bank of America. A Lemoore Public Works crew quickly cleared the road, using a mechanical chipper. There didn't appear to be any significant damage, though the tree did fall near a vehicle parked on the street.
