Lemoore police arrest two juveniles, suspects in gang-related incident that ended with stabbing

Lemoore police officers arrested two juveniles, suspects in a possible West Bush street fight that resulted in a stabbing. The incident occurred Thursday, Feb. 21 at about 3:30 p.m.

The police responded to the fight which dispatchers said may have involved several persons. Callers said one person was stabbed.

Officers responded immediately and located multiple crime scenes. Two suspects were seen fleeing the scene, but not before police got descriptions. Police quickly found a male juvenile. A victim sustained two stab wounds, and he was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

At about 3:32 p.m. police located one male juvenile suspect, still in possession of the weapon they think was used in the incident. Investigators surmised the street fight was gang-related and the Kings County Gang Task Force responded to help with the investigation.

Police identified a second male suspect and arrested him later that night. The Gang Task Force and Lemoore police detectives served a search warrant at the suspect’s residence, and additional evidence was recovered linking the suspect to the crime.

Both suspects were arrested and booked at the Kings County Juvenile Detention Center on charges of attempted homicide and participating in a criminal street gang.
