Lemoore police officers arrested a 37-year-old Lemoore woman and booked her at the Kings County Jail on charges of attempted murder, assault with a firearm, assault with a deadly weapon, and domestic violence.

It was on Thursday, April 18, about 10:30 p.m. when officers responded to a location on South 19th Avenue after a report of subjects arguing near the entrance of an apartment complex. While on the way, officers were advised that a female suspect may have pointed a gun at a male. When the officers arrived on the scene, they were directed to an apartment near the entrance and heard people yelling.

Officers contacted a female, 37-year-old Farah Gonzalez of Lemoore, another male, and a second female at the apartment. Gonzalez told officers that the male and the other female had been in an argument. After speaking with the three subjects, as well as other witnesses, officers determined it was Gonzalez who had been in dispute with the male. The male told officers that, during the argument, Gonzalez, the suspect, took out a handgun and holding it, hit him in the head area several times. She also grabbed his head and hit in on the floor in the apartment.

The victim left the apartment and Gonzalez followed him, and then she pointed the gun at him. A witness said they heard two clicks as if Gonzalez had pulled the trigger, but the gun did not fire. The victim eventually tried to leave in a car, but Gonzalez stood in front of the car pointing the gun at him again. The victim parked the car and went back inside the apartment. The victim sustained minor injuries.

Gonzalez was arrested and booked at the Kings County Jail on suspicion of attempted murder, assault with a firearm, assault with a deadly weapon, and domestic violence. Her bail was set at $600,000.
