Twenty five years and counting as Lemoore's vaunted NJROTC program holds annual awards banquet
For starters, Lemoore competed in numerous competitions throughout the school year, placing third overall at the Reedley High School Area-11 Drill Meet and took first place overall at the Central California Inter-service Drill Meet.
The Central California Inter-service Drill Meet boasted a plethora of California NJROTC units representing the different branches of service.

Lemoore NJROTC also has one of the best marksmanship programs in California. This year’s team qualified locally and nationally, competing in both the NJROTC Service Championships and the JROTC Service Championship, held in Anniston, Alabama this year.
The Lemoore NJROTC unit remains one of the top 25 units in the United States, having recently earned the Commander, Naval Education, and Training Distinguished Unit Award again for the 25th year in a row.
The program’s instructors, including LCDR John Wolstenholme, CPO Ray Vigil, and CPO Rick Myers said the school’s vaunted NJROTC’s program as having something for everyone.
