Kings County health officials confirm 20 additional COVID-19 cases Saturday night

The Kings County Department of Public Health (KCDPH) Saturday night evening (May 16) confirmed 20 additional cases of COVID-19 in Kings County. The KCDPH has determined that two of the new cases contracted the disease through close contact with a confirmed case. The totals now for Kings County are 392 cases, 231 of them contracted through close contact.

On Friday, Kings County health officials confirmed the county's second death from coronavirus.

The exposure of the remaining 18 new cases is still under investigation. Of the total active cases, five are being treated in isolation, and all other cases have been quarantined.

Due to privacy laws, no specific information regarding any of the 392 cases can be shared with the public.
