One of Lemoore’s many popular restaurants recently was honored as the 32nd Assembly District’s Small Business of the Year as the Sushi Table, located in the Save Mart Center Shopping Center, got a visit from its assemblyman, Rudy Salas.

Salas acknowledged owner and main chef and owner, Sunny Law, and his wife Fanny, for their years of service giving back to Kings County. Both have dedicated themselves to helping grow the small business community in Kings County and providing unparalleled service to their customers.

“As we approach Small Business Saturday, I am honored to recognize Sushi Table and Chef Sunny as our Small Business of the Year,” said Salas. “Chef Sunny’s dedication to helping our community, especially in times of need, continues to impact the lives of families throughout Kings County. When small businesses succeed, our community thrives. Let’s continue to support our small businesses by shopping and dining locally to help each other work through these tough times together.”

A Culinary Institute of American grad, Chef Sunny Law, along with his wife, Fanny, opened Sushi Table in Lemoore six years ago. They also own two other restaurants in the area. Chef Sunny and his family are a staple in the Kings County community. They both play a large part in running the day-to-day operations of their restaurants, as well as planning events to give back to the community.

Sunny has been delivering meals to seniors during the pandemic, volunteers at various community events and is an active member of the Kings Lions Club. Sunny has also been a supporter of the March of Dimes Signature Chef Auction for over ten years to fundraise money for babies who are born prematurely.

"Thank you, Assemblymember Rudy Salas, for selecting Sushi Table for California’s Small Business Day,” said Chef Sunny Law. “I am proud to be part of Kings County and to serve the community with my cuisine."

Each year, the California Small Business Association hosts California Small Business Day, which recognizes small businesses throughout the state. The COVID-19 pandemic has had a devastating effect on California’s small business community. Small Business Saturday is on Saturday, Nov. 28, which is an annual holiday encouraging consumers to shop and dine locally and support their community.
