Tachi Palace Casino golf tourney raises $35,000 for Links for Life

A total of 156 golfers participated, consisting of local and non-local California Native American Casino representatives and casino vendors. Challenges included closest to the pin, longest drive, and guess the distance on the course. The tournament concluded with a closing ceremony and raffle prize drawings.
“We are pleased with the exceptional turnout for our annual golf tournament,” said Michael Olujic, General Manager of Tachi Palace Casino Resort. “All of the participants enjoyed the camaraderie, the food, and most importantly, the opportunity to raise funds for a worthy cause.”
Links for Life is a program whose goal is to diagnose breast cancer early and educate people about the importance of breast health. The funds from the 2022 Charity Golf Tournament will be used to provide diagnostic mammograms, ultrasounds, and breast biopsies.
It will also support continued education and assist women with the program “Look Your Best” as they go through their breast cancer treatment.
“Kings County Community Breast Health Team, which oversees the Links for Life program in Kings County, is very blessed to have this relationship with Tachi Palace Casino Resort and to be chosen as the recipient for the 2022 Charity Golf Tournament,” said Nancy Hitchcock, Links for Life President. “Tachi Palace Casino Resort’s commitment to our community and dedication to improving the lives of women and men by early diagnosis of breast cancer is very much appreciated. Thank you so much.”
