Several thousand visitors on July 4, seeking out a good fireworks show, found the right place as many crowded into The Tachi Casino and Resort as it played host to a wave of fireworks enthusiasts as the local casino celebrated the Fourth of July in grand style on Tuesday evening.

The day was certainly packed with entertainment and refreshments. The music was courtesy of the band “We Be 3,” performed for up to two hours before lighting off the evening’s fireworks.

Five food trucks in the parking lot next to the entrance provided food, which also served as the viewing area for the 9:30 p.m. show.

Bleachers were provided to give a high vantage point of view.

Those fireworks enthusiasts, who failed to find a parking space in the entire palace complex, drove the half mile to 18th Avenue, where they turned South and formed a gauntlet of vehicles where they were able to watch from their cars and trucks.  They were certainly not disappointed as the 30-minute show elicited patriotic cheers and almost silent awes.

Local folks filled up bleachers quick in anticipation of the fireworks show.
