The Kings Lions Club held its second annual Luau on Saturday, Sept. 12 at the Lemoore Recreation Complex. About 300 persons crowded into the main hall for a Polynesian dinner, sushi, tropical drinks and entertainment, put on the by Polynesian Club of Fresno.
If it’s August, it must be time for a Lemoore Brewfest. Well, it just so happens to be August, and right on schedule, the Lemoore Lions Club will be holding its annual Brewfest on August 22. The annual Tiger and Tigress of the Year ceremony was held Friday night in the Lemoore High School Event Center. The Associated Student Body puts on the event year year. Crowned between boys' basketball games that nigher were John Toste and Robin Acierto. The two were voted on by members of the student body during elections last week.
Congratulations to the Lemoore High School Navy Junior ROTC Drill Team which placed 2nd overall at the Santa Ana Drill meet at Santa Ana High School in Los Angeles. The Lemoore Naval Junior ROTC Orienteering teams competed this past Saturday in the Central Valley NJROTC Orienteering Competition at Scout Island in Fresno.
