Several hundred gun enthusiasts were treated to dinner, a silent auction and live auction, numerous raffles and a plethora of guns during Saturday night’s (March 21) annual Lemoore Friends of the NRA (National Rifle Association) fundraising dinner and auction.
It wasn’t quite the full house that showed up at the 2014 Friends of the NRA dinner, but it was still a healthy crowd that perused hundreds of guns and pistols tastefully displayed in the West Hills College Lemoore Golden Eagle Arena.
Lemoore Friends of the NRA Chairman David Cain had plenty of help in organizing the annual event that raises money for a multitude of local activities geared toward gun education.
For example, a big beneficiary Saturday night was Richard Lehn, of the Lemoore Hot Shots Rifle Range, currently housed at the Lemoore Recreation Complex. The Hot Shots fire pellet guns and practice on a range helped financed by money from the Lemoore Friends of the NRA.
The Lemoore rifle range was given $11,989.85 during Saturday night’s event. The Lemoore Recreation Center also houses an archery range and the NRA donated $9,309.43 for that.
