An Autumn tradition continued Sunday (Oct. 7) as the families and staff of Lemoore's Mary Immaculate Queen School held its annual Fall Festival Celebration on the school's grounds Sunday. The event, featuring games, rides, music, a silent auction, food, and entertainment, The Festival opened at 11 a.m. and was scheduled to shut down about 7 p.m. Admission was free. Mary Immaculate School is a non-profit K-8th-grade parochial school for St. Peter's Parish.

West Hills folks were calling it the “The Battle of the Birds.” It was the Falcons versus the Golden Eagles, and in the district’s first-ever volleyball matchup between the two schools, the Falcons prevailed. West Hills College Coalinga Falcons, playing their first-ever Central Valley Conference match in West Hills College Lemoore’s Golden Eagle Arena, beat their cross-valley rivals in three rather close sets, 25-19, 25-20, 25-23. Baronian will emerge with an excellent points lead thanks to his latest victory.
